RE's academic team excels on national stage
Ransom Everglades' varsity and junior varsity academic teams excelled at the International Academic Competitions U.S. History Bee and Bowl in Arlington, Va., April 25-28, with various Raiders contributing to 20 top-10 finishes across more than a dozen events. Daniel Figueroa '24 led RE in his final season with the team, finishing fifth in the U.S. History Bee and earning medals for top-three finishes on two history exams. The Raiders were coached by faculty member Abby Berler and librarian Branly Fontaine.
Students took multiple exams in a wide variety of topics, including Geography, Historical Geography and American Geography, and they also made time for sightseeing in Washington, D.C. They visited the National Archives, where they viewed a 13th century original copy of the Magna Carta as well as The Declaration of Independence and The Constitution. They also walked past the Capitol Building and had lunch at Union Station. See notable results below:

Founded in 1903, Ransom Everglades School is a coeducational, college preparatory day school for grades 6 - 12 located on two campuses in Coconut Grove, Florida. Ransom Everglades School produces graduates who "believe that they are in the world not so much for what they can get out of it as for what they can put into it."
