RE Speech and Debate scores nationally and locally

Ransom Everglades speech and debate students continued an award-winning season with stellar results in two recent tournaments. At a local event, five team members – Lucas Sanchez '27, Jackson Berlin '27, Dylan Kantesaria '29, Tula Thompson '29 and Misha Gowda '28 – won first-place trophies as nearly a dozen received top awards. At a highly competitive national event, RE students excelled, with several advancing deep into the elimination round.
At the Glades Invitational in Miramar on February 7, 15 RE students brought home top-5 results. A week later at the Harvard Speech and Debate Tournament at Harvard University, six students reached the quarterfinals. The students competed under coaches Kate Hamm and Justinmar Perez.
