The arts program at RE is flourishing because of our community’s commitment to The Fund for RE, in turn helping shape our students individually and collectively.
Students exercise their creativity and deliver incredible results across a myriad of artistic disciplines – from grand performances on the Lewis Family Auditorium stage in CHICAGO and the Major Works Concert to producing student-led publications. Our students also benefit from the expert guidance of wonderful faculty who lead them on their artistic journeys. I hope you enjoy reading some highlights of our arts program this year below.
Middle School
1️⃣ Braman Media Center, 2️⃣ Swenson Hall, 3️⃣ Atrium: Extensive, campus-wide displays rotating through campus
2️⃣ Swenson Hall: Photography class exhibits in on-campus displays during the school day once every semester
2️⃣ Swenson Hall: Showcases performed by each class, such as the Ocho Show, 7th-grade One Acts and Musical Theatre Showcase
Upper School
1️⃣ Linda S. Frankel Visual Arts Center: New courses in visual arts, including digital art – and sculpture starting next year!
2️⃣ Lewis Family Auditorium: Ten performances including dance, theatre productions and concerts performed this year, representing both the middle and upper school
3️⃣ College Counseling Office: Twenty-five members of the Class of 2024 pursuing an arts major in college
