Raider softball moves to 2-1 on the season with victory over Carrollton

The Raiders improved to 2-1 on the season with a wild 21-19 win over Carrollton, powered by an explosive 10-run first inning and a relentless offensive effort throughout. Junior Addie Rothfield '27 led the charge at the plate, going 4-for-5 with a double and a game-high seven RBI. Sophomore Annabelle Etra '28 added two hits and scored four runs, while senior Beatrice Hernandez '26 crossed the plate five times and drove in a run. Senior Gianna Carvalho '26 scored four runs and added an RBI, while also drawing four walks. Senior Elizabeth Harper '26 scored twice and drove in two, and eighth grader Jane Derick '30 added two RBI and a run scored. Sixth grader Mina Rodriguez '32 contributed two runs and an RBI, and eighth grader Olivia Kaiserman '30 chipped in with a hit. As a team, the Raiders scored 21 runs on eight hits and drew an impressive 23 walks to keep constant pressure on the Carrollton defense. Despite Carrollton’s late surge, the Raider offense proved too tough, sealing the high-scoring victory.
