Raider football picks up district road victory

Sophomore quarterback Matthew Guavara '28 rushed for a season high four touchdowns as the Raiders rolled to a 35-14 road victory over Miami Springs High School. Despite an early touchdown from Miami Springs the Raiders didn't panic and scored on their next four drives to go up 28-7 at the half and cruise home from there. Freshman running back Will Duncan '29 had his best game as a Raider and first career 100 yard rushing day of his career. Freshman Evans Branch '29, junior Coley Hucks '26 and senior Edwin Carr '25 were dominant at the line of scrimmage combining for 15 tackles including five for loss and three sacks. The Raiders will now head into their much needed bye week as they prepare for the closing stretch with hopes of earning a regional playoff berth.
