Raider bats get hot in 14-6 road victory

Senior Mason Lastra '25 hit two home runs and drove in a career high eight RBI's as the Raiders defeated Miami Country Day 14-6 in a road contest. A seven run fourth inning would open the game up for the Raiders. Senior Justin Kaplan '25 and junior Enrique Macias '26 opened the inning with a pair of singles. A Raider walk loaded the bases for Lastra who made it count with a grand slam for his second home run of the game. Freshman Tyler Grossfeld '28 would add a solo shot to left field to cap a seven run inning. Junior Tino Peña '26 continued his strong junior season on the mound earning the victory striking out seven batters over four and one-third innings of work. The victory moved the Raiders to 8-3 on the season. A quick turnaround awaits as the Raiders host Palmer Trinity in a special event at Loan Depot Park this afternoon. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
