It is my honor to be the Athletic Director of the Upper School and the head boys’ varsity basketball coach. Previously, I spent seven years at Hebrew Academy in Miami Beach, serving as the Assistant Director of Athletics, head varsity basketball coach and high school teacher. Prior to moving to Florida I served as adjunct professor and assistant basketball coach at Hawaii Pacific University. My undergraduate degree is from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and I earned my master’s degree in education from Hawaii Pacific. In my spare time, I chase my 7-year-old daughter around Robert E. Walker Field and spend time with my wife, Sarah.

    Bio

I could not be more excited to be a member of the Ransom Everglades community. I am the Director of the Crew Program/Head Coach, and am excited to get all of our athletes on the water and rowing faster than they ever have before. I previously served as the boatwright/rigger for the University of Miami women's rowing program, and before that my experience includes an extensive list of program directing and coaching at various clubs across the east coast, mostly in the Philadelphia/Boathouse Row area. I earned my bachelor’s degree at Marietta College in Ohio. In my free time I enjoy anything outdoors, and because we are in South Florida, boating, kayaking, and fishing have been topping that list in recent months.

    Bio

As the assistant athletic director and physical education teacher at the upper school, I enjoy fostering a sense of pride in our athletic programs and student-athletes. I am also the girls' basketball head coach and middle school football head coach. I began my Ransom Everglades journey in 2019 after teaching and coaching in New York for many years. I received my BS and MS degrees from Hofstra University and am a registered athletic administrator with educational leadership certification from the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association. I look forward to bringing excitement and a positive mindset to each day on our campuses.

    Bio

As a very proud alum from the Class of 2004, I am beyond thrilled to serve as the Director of Athletics at the Everglades Campus while also teaching in middle school physical education. I spent 10 years at RE before leaving in 2020 to grow as a professional. My journey took me to a consultancy in Connecticut and then to The Orme School in Arizona, an international boarding school where I spent two years as the Director of Athletics and Associate Dean of Students. I received my bachelor's degree from Wingate University where I also played baseball, and I earned my Certified Athletic Administrator certification from the University of Maine. My wife and I are the very proud parents of two amazing young girls, Taylor and Emilia. Go Raiders!
Founded in 1903, Ransom Everglades School is a coeducational, college preparatory day school for grades 6 - 12 located on two campuses in Coconut Grove, Florida.
